Mirosław Kluczak, currently based in Letterkenny, County Donegal, denies threatening to kill a client on 4 April 2014.

Former Polish army officer Leszek Majewski claims that the 41-year-old defendant stormed into his house after he told the latter he was unable to repay a loan of GBP 70.

''I could see he was nervous and stressed out,'' Majewski told the court.

''He walked in and he put the gun to my head. He grabbed me by the jacket and put the gun to my head.

''He said ‘Give me the money back or I will kill you’.''

Local garda (Irish policeman) Darren Carter noted that he located a cardboard box for a Taurus PT99 pellet gun at Kluczak’s house, but that he could not find a weapon.

The defendant told police that he had had ''a toy gun'' but that he had given it away to a friend a year prior to the incident. (nh)
