Janusz Kędziora, 28, is due to serve a ten-year prison sentence in Poland for actual bodily harm, criminal damage, robbery, attempted robbery and burglary.

The 28-year-old was one of 7 Poles on a list of 17 wanted criminals named in the fourth Operation Sunfire campaign, which aims to extradite foreign nationals to the their native countries.

Kędziora was arrested early on Wednesday afternoon in Leyton, east London.

He had apparently been using the name of Michał Krawczyk while in the UK.

The detained man, whose recorded crimes were committed in Poland between 2005 and 2007, is due to attend an extradition hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court. (nh)
