Poland to have missile defence in a few years

Poland will start work on a comprehensive air-defence system this year, General Stanisław Koziej, the head of the BBN, said in an interview for the Polish Radio.

“It is the priority for the modernisation of the armed forces, we should have our own missile defence, let’s hope that the implementation decisions will be taken this year and the construction can start next year,” Koziej said.

The plans are directly linked to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the resulting perception of greater risk, General Koziej said. (an)
