German book out today claims Smolensk crash conspiracy

German investigative journalist publishes a book claiming a Russian and Polish conspiracy may have been behind the April 2010 Smolensk plane crash that killed President Lech Kaczyński and nearly 100 others.

Jürgen Roth claims in his "2015: Verschlussakte S: Smolensk, MH17 und Putins Krieg in der Ukraine" (2015: Secret Files S: Smolensk, MH17 and Putin’s War in Ukraine), out on Wednesday, that German intelligence believes the crash at Smolensk in western Russia may not have been accidental.
German tabloid daily Bild published on Wednesday an interview with Roth who says that he has no certainty as to the causes of the crash. (an)
