Polish lorries raided in France

Three Polish lorries fell victim to a nighttime raid near the town of Laval, western France, it has been reported.

According to witnesses, dozens of assailants gathered at a car park near Laval at about 2:00 am local time and demanded that the lorry-drivers open the vehicles.
The assailants then proceeded to destroy all of the merchandise that the Poles were transporting, before fleeing the scene in a series of cars.
Staff at the Polish consulate in Paris are currently liaising with French police on the matter.
No one was seriously injured in the incident. (nh)
