The appeal comes in the wake of Monday’s bomb blast in Bangkok which killed 27 people, including several foreigners. Over 120 people suffered injuries.

The Ministry says that the Polish Embassy in the Thai capital is monitoring the situation, and remains in permanent contact with the local authorities.

"All visitors currently in Thailand are advised to follow the local media for news updates and the Polish Foreign Ministry website, and to comply with the recommendations issued by the travel agencies and local law-enforcement services," the Ministry’s appeal said.

The Foreign Ministry has already issued a list of areas in northern Africa which Polish tourists are advised to avoid. (mk/rg/rk)
