With the growing numbers of Poles living in the UK, there are more and more Polish street names, especially in Swindon, west of London.

We can find street names such as Kopernik Road (named after the Polish astronomer Copernicus), Mazurek Way (the name of both a dance and a traditional Easter shortcrust almond tart), as well as Zakopane Road (named after a prime skiing resort in the High Tatras), among others. (tf/rg)
