At a meeting on Tuesday, the government will adopt new foreign policy principles, Waszczykowski told Polish Radio in an interview.
“The situation has changed, so our foreign policy has to follow those changes. We need a revision,” the official said.
“Our foreign policy cannot be part of the mainstream, we cannot only abide by Brussels’ decisions.
“We have to carefully observe if NATO and the European Union are effectively dealing with the issues in the South, as well as unresolved conflicts in the East,” Waszczykowski added.
An official document outlining new foreign policy principles is to be presented in parliament in late January/early February. (ał/rg/pk)
