Croatian President in Poland for Auschwitz commemorations

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic was visiting Poland on Wednesday to mark the 71st anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi German Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp.

On Thursday Grabar-Kitarović will meet Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Beata Szydło to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Croatian president will lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Polish capital and together with the Polish president will open the Polish-Croatian economic forum, which runs 27-29 January. (rg/pk)
