Council of Europe 'will not introduce report on Polish democracy'

The Council of Europe has voted against introducing a report on the state of democracy in Poland, a Law and Justice MP tweeted on Friday.

Dominik Tarczyński, an MP from Poland's governing Law and Justice party, tweeted: “The ‘senior council’ of the Council Of Europe REJECTED a move by the socialists to introduce a report about democracy in Poland. ‘There are no grounds for the report’.”
Tarczyński later tweeted that he was present for the vote in Strasbourg.
