A British daily has listed Poland as one of just a handful of countries in the European Union considered as safe from terrorist attacks, as Britons plan their summer holidays.

The Daily Mail newspaper quoted a recent report by the British Foreign Office which said that in Poland, “There is a low threat from terrorism, but you should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate terrorist attacks which could be in public places, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers.”

However, the Foreign Office added that driving in Poland can be “hazardous”.

Other European countries on the list were Slovenia, Lichtenstein, Malta and Iceland. (rg)
