“Of course it's unfair,” argued president of the PAC Frank Spula, in reference to Bill Clinton's comments.

Spula rejected the former US president's statements as “nonsense”.

Clinton said at a rally for his wife in New Jersey that Poland and Hungary, “two countries that would not be free but for the United States and the long Cold War, have now decided this democracy is too much trouble.

They want Putin-like dictatorships.”

Bill Clinton's comments follow a resolution adopted by the European Parliament last month in which MEPs argued that the rule of law, democracy and human rights are endangered in Poland.

Poland's foreign ministry has argued that Clinton's opinion is “extremely unjust.” (nh)
