PM in talks with unions, employers on Brexit impact

Prime Minister Beata Szydło met with unionists and employers' organizations on Monday for talks on the consequences of Brexit and on working out new relations between the EU and UK.

"Britain’s exit from the European Union is a process that will not be without significance for Poland and our domestic economy," government spokesman Rafał Bochenek said after the talks.
“In connection with this, Prime Minister Beata Szydło on Monday opened a series of public consultations involving the government and social partners," he added.
Szydło said she wanted “to conduct wide-ranging consultations that will allow us to put forward Polish proposals in the negotiations [which are]... the most beneficial and safeguard the interests of Polish workers and citizens who live outside Poland."
A total of 916,000 Poles now live in the UK, about 63,000 more than last year, the UK’s statistics office said last week.
