The two officials also discussed Serbia’s cooperation with the European Union. Waszczykowski thanked Bogojević for an invitation to Belgrade, and said he would visit Serbia in late September.
He underscored the importance that Poland attaches to supporting Serbia’s efforts on the path to EU accession, and pointed to those fields in bilateral relations which especially need to be developed. The minister also expressed recognition for Serbia’s actions amid the migrant crisis.
During the meeting, Ambassador Bogojević highlighted Poland’s commitment to developing bilateral and regional ties, an example of which is the V4-Western Balkans+ meeting of foreign ministers, scheduled to take place in Warsaw at the end of November. (rg)
