Jarosław Kaczyński, head of Poland’s governing Law and Justice party (PiS), said after talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel that “albeit slight, there was some progress, a drawing closer of positions”.

Kaczyński spoke to journalists from three public media outlets. He declined to go into detail about the meeting with Merkel.

“Details will not be revealed, that is what we agreed with the chancellor,” he said. (vb/pk)
