Polish PM to meet Pope on Friday

Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło will meet Pope Francis during a visit to Rome on Friday, government spokesperson Rafał Bochenek has said.

Szydło will be in the Italian capital to attend a summit of European government leaders.
The Polish prime minister met Argentinian Pope Francis in July 2016 when the leader of the Roman Catholic church was in Poland for World Youth Days. In May of that year, she held half an hour of talks with Pope Francis during an audience at the Vatican. (rg)
