Friday the marks the last day of Szczerski’s official trip to the US.

At Friday’s meeting he will meet ambassadors from African countries and the Caribbean, an official from the presidential office told the PAP news agency.

Szczerski is expected to attend the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in North Korea as an observer. The meeting will include UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Szczerski will also hold two meetings with groups of ambassadors from African countries and the Caribbean accredited to the United Nations.

“The meetings are related to Poland’s intensive campaign to gain a non-permanent seat on the UN’s Security Council,” an official told PAP. (rg/pk)
