Poland and Latvia are working together closely to boost security in the Baltic Sea region, Latvian President Raimonds Vējonis has said.

Speaking on Monday in Warsaw, where he met Polish President Andrzej Duda, Vējonis added that the two countries shared opinions on global issues and challenges to the region.
He also said that implementing decisions taken at a NATO summit in the Polish capital last year was a priority for all Baltic states and that a strong alliance with the US was key to regional security. (vb/pk)
