“Polish intelligence agencies do not report such threats,” Duda said, adding that the authorities will do everything to help the families of the two Poles who died in the attack in Britain on Monday.

“This tragic event has affected not only the entire international community, not only European and British societies, but also Poland,” Duda said on Wednesday. “There is, unfortunately, information that a Polish couple died. They went to pick up their daughters from a concert.”

A 22-year-old man is reported to have detonated a bomb at the crowded Manchester Arena on Monday following a pop concert attended by thousands of teenagers. British authorities have confirmed that 22 people died as a result of the attack. Several people remain in critical condition in hospital.

Asked whether a similar attack is possible in Poland, Duda said: “There is no terrorist threat in Poland.” (rg/pk)
