Trump confirmed he wants to visit Poland during his recent trip to Brussels, where he met Polish President Andrzej Duda, said the Polish president’s chief of staff, Krzysztof Szczerski.

“Now it is only a matter of setting the diary of both presidents,” Szczerski told the public TVP broadcaster.

He added that “there are no official arrangements for the date of the US President's visit to Poland”, but said that Trump “appreciates” Poland and the Polish minority in the US who voted for him, “which means he will try to come”.

Trump has just concluded his first foreign trip since assuming office in January. Duda met his American counterpart on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Brussels on Thursday. (rg/pk)
