Ukraine aims to introduce NATO standards by 2020: Poroshenko

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said on Monday his country aims to introduce NATO standards by 2020, according to Polish media.

Poroshenko said that Ukraine does not intend to apply for NATO membership at the moment, but added that talks have started on plans to join the Western military alliance.
Poroshenko was speaking at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who was visiting Kiev on Monday.
Meanwhile, Stoltenberg said NATO would supply Kiev with equipment to determine who stood behind a June hacker attack.
