Foundation fostering Polish-Hungarian ties to be set up in Poland
PR dla Zagranicy
The ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party is setting up a foundation to foster Polish-Hungarian ties, the Rzeczpospolita daily has reported.
Establishing twin organisations operating in Poland and Hungary was one of the main takeaways of a 2016 meeting between Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Law and Justice chief Jarosław Kaczyński.
The countries are to earmark EUR 1 million each for the project, Rzeczpospolita reported.
The Polish foundation aims to cultivate and expand economic and political ties between the two countries.
The organisation is also to foster relations between young Polish and Hungarian people in culture, sports and education. (aba/pk)
