Polish PM meets US ambassador

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has met US ambassador to Poland Paul Jones "to discuss the most important issues in Polish-US relations," a government spokeswoman has said.

Spokeswoman Joanna Kopcińska said the US side had requested the meeting to plan bilateral talks and top-level visits for the coming year.

She also said that Morawiecki last week spoke on the telephone to US Vice President Mike Pence, adding that Polish-US talks aimed to develop and strengthen ties between Warsaw and Washington. (vb/pk)
