Three Afghan war veterans cycled from Los Angeles to New York – a 6,000-kilometre distance – in 44 days.

Along the way, they met Polish-Americans and told them about their experience of the war in Afghanistan and about Polish soldiers.

While in New York, the three vets met with cadets at the United States Military Academy at West Point and laid wreaths at monuments to the victims of the September 11 attacks and the Katyn massacres. (vb)
