New US ambassador arrives in Poland

American entrepreneur Georgette Mosbacher has arrived in Poland to assume her office as US Ambassador.

In a video uploaded to youtube last week, Mosbacher said Poland and the United States had long-standing good relations.
She said she hoped to maintain close ties between the two countries.
Mosbacher has in the past run cosmetics companies and a consultancy.
Her appointment to the role of US ambassador, her first diplomatic post, is reported to have stemmed from her good personal rapport with Donald Trump. (pm/vb)
