Speaker meets US ambassador to Poland

The Speaker of Poland’s lower house of parliament on Wednesday met the recently-appointed US ambassador to Warsaw.

"A successful meeting with US Ambassador Georgette Mosbacher… confirms the friendly relations between our allied countries," Speaker Marek Kuchciński wrote on Twitter.
Mosbacher officially took up her post after handing her credentials to Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw last month.
Mosbacher is not a career diplomat but has long-standing links to the Republican Party and is a personal friend of US President Donald Trump, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency has reported.
She is the first woman to become America’s ambassador to Warsaw.
