Polish prosecutors are probing a new computer game which is set in the German Nazi Auschwitz Concentration Camp, Poland's Rzeczpospolita daily reported on Tuesday.

The paper reported that prosecutors are investigating claims that information online promoting a new video game, entitled The Cost of Freedom – a game about Polish death camps, "defames the Polish nation and propagates fascism".
A spokesman for the prosecutor's office said that Ukrainian company Aliens Games was behind the planned new game, Rzeczpospolita added.
The paper reported that the game allows players to take on the role of a camp prisoner or a guard who decides if inmates should be sent to work or to gas chambers.
Poland has long fought the use of phrases such as “Polish death camps,” which have often appeared in foreign media in relation to Nazi German-run extermination camps on occupied Polish territory during World War II.
