Addressing parliamentarians from the three countries in Vilnius on Monday, Stanisław Karczewski said that Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine had convergent interests and together faced a threat posed by Russian policies.

"A shared challenge for Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine is to fend off the threat posed to our relations by Russian provocations," he said.

Karczewski, who is Speaker of the upper house of Poland's parliament, visited Vilnius to attend a two-day meeting of parliamentarians from Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine focusing on issues including security, hybrid threats, military cooperation and energy ties.
