Pole hurt in Strasbourg Christmas market attack: report

French authorities have said that a Polish citizen was among those injured in a gun attack on a Christmas market in Strasbourg.

Two people were killed and 14 wounded in the attack on Tuesday evening.
Officials informed the Polish embassy in France that a citizen of Poland was among the injured, the PAP news agency reported, citing the foreign ministry in Warsaw.
Police have identified the suspect as Cherif Chekatt, 29, a French citizen. According to media reports, he is listed by intelligence services as a potential security risk.
The Reuters news agency reported that Chekatt was known to have been religiously radicalised while in prison.
