Depeche Mode calls for black celebration in Lodz

British group Depeche Mode is billed to perform in the city of Lodz on Monday night as part of The Delta Machine Tour promoting their new album.

The 13, 000-seat Atlas Arena is expected to draw a capacity crowd, and the gig is to include a number of surprises.
Fans of the group have been asked to bring black balloons with them and send them up during the hit ‘Black Celebration’.
In their thirty-year history, Depeche Mode has performed in Poland six times. Their first appearance was at Warsaw’s Torwar sports hall in 1985 and the last one at the capital’s National Stadium last year. (mk)
