Bollywood sinks London bus in Warsaw river

Bollywood film makers closed Gdanski Bridge, Easter Monday, for a scene in the Polish capital which is to be part of the latest Indian blockbuster 'Kick', starring Salman Khan.

The scene was part of a car chase which ends dramatically when a London double-decker bus dives into the Vistula river.
While filming another scene last week, Salman Khan, one of India's top male actors, hung from a ledge on the 40th floor of the Palace of Culture and Science for four hours, after he refused a stunt man.
Krzysztof Solek from Film Polska Productions told Polish Radio's English Section last week (here) they had to beat off competition from London and Dublin to stage the scenes in Warsaw, which offers tax-incentives and highly-skilled technical staff to film-makers.
The movie, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, will have its world premier in Dubai in July. (pg)
