The former Smiths frontman is set to perform at Warsaw's Stodola club on 19 November and Krakow's Laznia Nowa theatre on 21 November.

The tour comes in the wake of his tenth solo studio album, World Peace is None of Your Business, which was released on 15 July.

Known for his outspoken comments on a variety of issues, not least vegetarianism, his recent autobiography was published by one of the UK's most distinguished imprints, Penguin Classic.

The book divided critics, with conservative paper The Daily Telegraph hailing the tome as “the best written musical autobiography since Bob Dylan's Chronicles.”

However, noted satirist Craig Brown was less impressed, dismissing the book as “overwritten and overstated, a masterclass in verbal diarrhoea.”

Besides Poland, Morrissey will also be performing in Portugal, Italy, Austria, Germany, Denmark and Sweden, with one UK gig in London to round off the tour. (nh)
