The orchestra is billed to play an eclectic mix of Takematsu, Ives, Bartok and Dvorak.
Founded in 1962, The Yomiuri Nippon SO is Japan’s top symphonic ensemble. On its first concert in Poland it is conducted by the Frenchman Sylvain Cambreling.
The concert is another in the ‘Orchestras of the World’ series at the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall. Earlier this season, it hosted the Chicago Symphony under Riccardo Muti and The Berlin Philharmonic conducted by sir Simon Rattle. (mk/jb)
