French PM gifted Norman Davies book at Polish stand at Paris fair

The French leader was gifted a copy of “Microcosm”, a popular book of Polish history by British author Norman Davies.
More than 20 authors took part in discussions on various aspects of Polish culture, including poetry, crime fiction, democracy and the playwright, Sławomir Mrożek.
Adam Michnik, the editor of influential daily Gazeta Wyborcza and a legendary dissident under Communism, discussed the situation in Ukraine with Yuriy Andrukhovich, one of the most popular writers from that country.
Ukraine lacks its own stand at the book fair, Andrukhovich pointed out. (an)
