The study by pollster TNS Polska found that the main source of information for 71 percent of Poles is TV news programs, down from 81 percent last year.

Meanwhile, 29 percent of Poles turn to news websites, down from 25 percent a year ago.

Poles also get news from family, friends and acquaintances (24 percent), the radio (16 percent), and the daily printed press (15 percent, down from 20 percent in 2015).

The survey found that 83 percent of Poles consider access to accurate news as important. But only 20 percent would be willing to pay for access to such news. (pk)
