Warsaw gears up for film festival

More than 170 movies from over 60 countries will be screened at this year’s Warsaw Film Festival.

They event, now in its 32nd year, runs from 7 to 16 October. It will include Polish, Israeli, Palestinian, Russian, Jordanian, Iranian, Mexican, Chinese, Lithuanian and American films.

Many will have their world or European premieres in Warsaw.

Experts consider the Warsaw Film Festival one of the world’s leading annual events devoted to movies.

Among documentaries that viewers will be able to see this year is "Putin Forever?" which attempts to answer questions such as: Who is Vladimir Putin for Russians, do Russians do not want change, and how long will the Putin era last? (pk)
