In a pre-concert profile of the pianist, the New York Times wrote that he ”combines insightful musicianship with consummate technique”.
Forty-seven-year-old Anderszewski is regarded as one of the most outstanding musicians of his generation.
He regularly appears with recitals in renowned venues and as a soloist with leading orchestras.
Under an exclusive contract with Warner Classics, he has recorded Beethoven's Diabelli Variations, a selection of Bach's Partitas and English Suites, and Karol Szymanowski’s works for solo piano.
A CD entitled ‘Fantasies’, featuring works by Mozart and Schumann, is due out later this month.
In 2002, Anderszewski received the prestigious Gilmore Artist Award. (bur/pk)
