Running until the end of August, the festival will feature ten concerts including a young-pianists marathon.

The schedule includes performances of works by Chopin, Bach, Szymanowski and Mozart.

“Lovers of classical music can look forward to evenings with concerts in a magical location and at a special time of day when the Wawel Hill is closed [to tourists],” the royal castle’s deputy director said.

Over the last nine year in its history, the festival has seen more than 32,000 people attend 80 concerts and four music-marathons involving some 500 artists. (vb)
