Music past and present at summer festival

The Warsaw New Town Summer Festival starts on Friday evening, launching a series of concerts focusing on Polish classical music past and present.

The festival will be inaugurated by pianist Paweł Kowalski playing pieces by Fryderyk Chopin.
Audiences will then hear performances by the Royal String Quartet and the Harmonium Duo.
The festival, now in its tenth year, runs until 6 August. Admission to all concerts is free.
