The course, to be made available at the university's Institute of Sociology, will be taught by sociologist Professor Paweł Śpiewak, a former Civic Platform MP, and currently the head of the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw.

One of the key questions of the course is: "With the aid of whom and with what vision of the world did Jarosław Kaczyński gain and continues to maintain power [in Poland]," reads the description of the course.

Other questions tackled during the semester will be: "What makes [Law and Justice] maintain such high public support despite extensive criticism" and "What determines PiS's language and ideology."

The course is to begin in the summer semester in 2018. (aba/pk)
