Charity concert for aid for Aleppo

A “Family to Family. Aid to Aleppo” charity concert will be held at the Royal Theatre in Warsaw’s picturesque Łazienki Park on Sunday.

It features members of the Polish Royal Opera in a selection of traditional Polish Christmas carols and a carol from the Middle East performed by an early music ensemble.
The concert will be broadcast live on Channel 2 of Polish public television TVP, with viewers able to contribute to the charity drive by sending text messages. Proceeds will go to support the victims of the conflict in Syria.
Since the Caritas Poland charity's launch of the Family to Family scheme in October 2016, some 10, 000 families of various Christian denominations in Aleppo have benefitted from Polish assistance. (mk/vb)
