The programme includes famous duos from Bizet’s Carmen, Verdi’s La Traviata and Puccini’s Madame Butterfly. The event marks the 65th anniversary of Szczecin Philharmonic.

Last month, Kurzak and Alagna, who are married, performed in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

The Szczecin Philharmonic is planning a wide range of special events in its jubilee year, including the release of several CDs featuring works by the Polish composer Mieczysław Karłowicz, after whom the institution is named.
