Sinfonia Varsovia opens summer season

Sinfonia Varsovia, Poland’s leading symphony orchestra, on Saturday launches a series of summer concerts at a new pavilion set up in Warsaw.

Duo Tomasz Strahl and Janusz Olejniczak kick off the 2018 summer season with interpretations of the works of Polish composers Fryderyk Chopin and Karol Szymanowski and Austrian composer Franz Schubert.

Sinfonia Varsovia will continue with performances every weekend until the end of September, the orchestra's director said.

Audiences will hear music spanning many eras and genres of music, with special performances planned for Children's Day on June 1 and Father's Day on June 23.
