Traumatic brain injury can be caused by forces such as the blast from an exploding mine. It can trigger physical, cognitive, social and emotional problems.

Unlike post-traumatic stress disorder, treatment for traumatic brain injury is not available in Poland, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Proceeds from the sale of tickets for Friday’s concert will be used to treat Polish veterans in the United States. Once course of treatment costs around USD 16,000, a figure which is out of reach for many Poles.

The concert starts at 8pm at Wolności Park by the Warsaw Uprising museum.
