Jennifer Croft was to receive the annual Found in Translation Award, given out by the Book Institute and Polish cultural centres in London and New York.
Tokarczuk’s Flights is among the 10 books nominated for the National Book Award, the most prestigious literary prize in the United States, according to reports.
In May, Tokarczuk’s Flights, which first appeared in Poland in 2007 under its Polish title Bieguni, won the Man Booker International Prize, an international literary award hosted in Britain.
Tokarczuk is among the most popular and critically acclaimed Polish writers.
