Polish president encourages children to enjoy sports

Andrzej Duda made a brief morale-boosting visit as children and teenagers, some of them disabled, competed in sports including cross-country skiing at a resort in the south of the country.

“You can enjoy sports and fight your own limitations, showing the will to win,” Duda said during an annual sporting event in the ski resort of Ptaszkowa in Poland’s southern Małopolskie region.

The president, himself an avid skier, congratulated medal winners and said he was happy to see young talent in action, “hopefully the rising stars of Polish cross-country skiing and … biathlon.”
