Year on year sales of Tyskie beer in the UK have increased by as much as 39.9 percent to 26.2 million pounds.

According to distributor Miller Brands, which also handles Peroni, Pilsner Urquell and Miller Genuine Draft, bottled Tyskie in particular has caught the fancy of British customers.

“Tyskie is finding a role in the discovery repertoire among beer drinkers who like to experiment,” Miller Brands' customer marketing director told UK source The Grocer.

Back in Poland, Tyskie remains one of the country's biggest-selling beers, with close to a 20 percent share of the market.

In February 2014, the operator of the National Stadium in Warsaw signed a three-year sponsorship deal making Tyskie the official beer of the arena. (nh)
