PM Ewa Kopacz has said Poland’s 32nd place in the World Bank’s ‘Doing Business 2015’ report is good but the nation will climb to a high place in the ranking next year after reforms.

“We know that in next year's rankings will be able to boast of successive improvements,” PM Kopacz said on Wednesday morning.

The yearly ranking by the World Bank measures the ease of doing business in 189 economies based on 11 business-related regulations, which include the ease in which businesses can be set up, the availability of business loans and trading across borders.

Ewa Kopacz said legislation next year will make it possible to register a company in just 20 days.

“Information from the ranking is positive for us, regardless of drawbacks,” lawyer and economist Jarosław Bełdowski told business daily Puls Biznesu. “Poland climbs higher and higher on this prestigious list. This is a cheap and efficient way of promoting our economy in the world.” (pg/kw)
