The European Commission assumes 200,000 farms will receive the subsidy, Polish Radio reported.
Investments in the rural areas will create 22,000 new jobs, the European Commission estimates.
The fresh funds take total subsidies to the Polish farm sector to EUR 13.5 billion, Sawicki said.
Farmers will be able to apply for the funds in the first half of 2015, the minister said.
The programme will help farmers specialise, he said. The biggest benefits will flow to those farmers who organise into producer groups. (an)
