Unemployment drops in March to 11.7%

Latest figures from the GUS Central Statistical Office released on Friday reveal that unemployment in March stood at 11.7 percent, down from 12 percent in February.

In year-on-year terms, the figure dropped from 13.5 percent in March 2014.
In terms of registered jobseekers, the number dropped in y/y terms by 14.7 percent, around 321,600 people, to land in at 1.86 million in March 2015.
At the end of March, labour offices had some 69.9 thousand job offers, up from 57.8 thousand in February and up from 61.1 thousand in March 2014. (jb)
